Your advisor manages your portfolio.
Who's coordinating your retirement?
Tax drag, un-stress-tested income plans, and scattered accounts quietly cost Canadian retirees more than their annual advisory fee. Frost Wealth coordinates your investments, tax, estate, and income under one dedicated team.
Our clients stay because the work compounds.
If you've felt this way, you're in the right place.
These aren't edge cases. They're the standard experience for Canadians carrying real wealth into retirement.
Attentive until the transfer clears.
There's a pattern every experienced investor recognizes. Responsive calls during accumulation. Silence in retirement. When you need proactive advice most, managing withdrawals, watching what markets are doing to your income floor, flagging the tax implications of a big withdrawal,is exactly when most advisor relationships go quiet.
Your money is everywhere. Your plan is nowhere.
RRSP at the bank. TFSA opened in 2010. Pension from a previous employer. Non-registered account you've been told to just leave alone. Each piece exists. None of them are in conversation with the others. The tax implications alone, withdrawal sequencing, account optimization, estate structure, are worth tens of thousands, and nobody's looked.
The fee is visible. The value isn't.
After years of paying an advisory fee, you should be able to point to exactly what it bought: tax savings found, estate gaps closed, an income floor built and stress-tested, a plan that didn't need revising when markets dropped 20%. If you can't answer that question, you're not alone. And you deserve better.
Three gaps your current plan probably hasn't closed.
These aren't exotic problems. They're the standard gaps in how most Canadian advisors work, and each one has a measurable cost.
Tax drag from withdrawal sequencing
RRSP/RRIF vs. TFSA vs. non-registered withdrawal order determines your effective tax rate in retirement. CPP and OAS timing affects GIS eligibility and OAS clawbacks. One suboptimal withdrawal sequence, held for 10 years, costs the average retiring Canadian tens of thousands in unnecessary tax that never shows on any statement.
Asset location, not just asset allocation
Holding fixed income inside a TFSA and equities in an RRSP, when it should be the reverse, generates unnecessary tax drag of 0.5–1.5% annually. On a $1M portfolio, that's $5,000–$15,000 per year silently extracted. A diversified portfolio is not the same as an optimized one.
An income floor that has never been stress-tested
Most retirement projections assume average returns. They don't model a 30% drawdown in year one of retirement, which can permanently reduce your sustainable income through sequence-of-returns risk. Without a real income floor stress-tested against longevity and market timing, 'you have enough' is not a plan.
None of these are solved by adding another advisor. They are solved by one team with access to your complete picture.

Spencer Frost, BComm, CIM®
Spencer has spent the past 10 years in the wealth management industry, beginning his career with a Canadian chartered bank where he spent five years developing a strong foundation in financial planning, investment management, and client service. In 2023, he advanced to the role of Vice President at a large Canadian wealth management dealer. Through these experiences, Spencer developed a strong conviction that clients are best served through truly holistic and independent advice, delivered without the limitations often associated with large institutional environments. This belief ultimately led him to pursue a more independent approach to wealth management, focused on personalized strategies, long-term relationships, and comprehensive financial guidance.
